Need Help Planning An Event?

Below you will find some suggestions for making the best choices when planning to hire me for teaching at your event. These are multi-day presentations, in sequential order that have worked so successfully for groups in the past. Let's work together to plan a schedule that will attract many diverse participants. We want to fill the room with happy, well-prepared attendees that are at the appropriate skill level for each workshop. Below you will find my suggestions for a sequential order to present the information. I am happy to do all I can to help plan before I arrive and to work hard to make this an exciting, hassle-free and profitable experience when I am with you

As the cost of travel increases, it seems to make sense that once I get to your location, you might as well attempt to fill as many events as possible to offset expenses. If you have special requests and work together, I can be flexible to your needs. Please fee free to email me to schedule a phone conversation if additional help is desired.

I am most often asked to begin my appearance with an evening lecture before three days of workshops. You may want more or less days of teaching, and you may may wish to add more evening lectures.

Here are some suggestions that may not have occurred to you when reading the list of presentations on the Classes Page.

I am very willing to make my time available for more than one group in your area that may wish to share expenses.

My one or two hour lectures and half-day lecture/demos offer a great opportunity for you to increase revenues. Each presentation is packed with useful information gained over 35 years of quilting. Since no machines, irons, cords, etc. are needed, class size is limited only by the capacity of your facility (with tables around the perimeter for display of demos and sample quilts). These are beneficial classes without the hassles of workshops. Many students want to observe the technique before they commit to a workshop.

Some guilds or shops may consider having me travel the morning of their normal (evening) guild meeting and offer a lecture/demo in that afternoon to increase revenue on a day they are paying for me anyway.
